a brief visit to Maine
  From October 8 through October 14 I visited my friend Jim, in and around Dexter, ME.
This period was close to, if not exactly, the peak of leaf watching. We kayaked the
Kennabac River, photographed many beautiful treed landscapes, hiked and biked
Acadia National Park, and climbed the highest mountain in Maine, Katahdin with an
elevation gain of about 3900 feet (5367 ft at the peak). I hope you will enjoy the photos
